BRAVEST: Building Resilience Against crisis: a systematic and global approach to adVancE organ Safety and supply in Transplantation
Stemming from the lessons learned during the SARS-Cov2 pandemic, the BRAVEST project aims to analyse the organisational and management procedures in organ donation and transplantation.
Based on the cutting-edge analysis of real-world evidence, this will:
Enable the identification of the most effective clinical practice procedures
Encourage the development of guidelines and proposal of sustainable, innovative actions that improve the resilience of the donation and transplantation systems and networks
Ensure continuity in the supply of organs while maintaining the safety of donation and transplantation
Ultimately, increase the accessibility of transplantation for all patients with end-stage organ disease
The project will enhance future resilience to high-pressure situations, ranging from epidemics, wars, earthquakes and ecological disasters.
This project is led by ESOT - European Society for Organ Transplantation
