BRAVEST: Building Resilience Against crisis: a systematic and global approach to adVancE organ Safety and supply in Transplantation

Stemming from the lessons learned during the SARS-Cov2 pandemic, the BRAVEST project aims to analyse the organisational and management procedures in organ donation and transplantation.

Based on the cutting-edge analysis of real-world evidence, this will:

  • Enable the identification of the most effective clinical practice procedures

  • Encourage the development of guidelines and proposal of sustainable, innovative actions that improve the resilience of the donation and transplantation systems and networks

  • Ensure continuity in the supply of organs while maintaining the safety of donation and transplantation

  • Ultimately, increase the accessibility of transplantation for all patients with end-stage organ disease

The project will enhance future resilience to high-pressure situations, ranging from epidemics, wars, earthquakes and ecological disasters.
