BRAVEST Kick-Off Meeting in Bologna

Back in October 2022, we gathered for the first time in a warm and sunny Bologna to officially launch the BRAVEST project. 

Over the course of 2 days, we got to know each other and our project roles, before delving into our plans for the 3-year duration of the project.  

The first day gave us all an overview of how our project idea can be implemented in a meaningful way, and how added value can be created that goes beyond the specific objectives of the individual organisations. The afternoon was dedicated to discussions on methodologies, rapid risk assessments and finally how to translate the overall project results into guidelines for EU countries and beyond.   

Day 2 dived into the specifics. We went through each work package and discussed actions to move us forward. On this day we also took the picture you see (right). (Don't be fooled by our clothes – it was warm outside, so we sheltered in the air-conditioned conference room!)  

And of course, after the work was done, ESOT did not miss the opportunity to guide us through the wonderful culinary experience of Italy. 

With such a successful kick-off meeting and a group rich in expertise, the project can only be a success. We looking forward to seeing BRAVEST develop and succeed for better health and patient benefits!
